About this scholarship
What it is
Each year the Russian government funds around 15,000 study places at Russian universities for foreign citizens from more than 180 countries — the "quota". It is administered by Rossotrudnichestvo, the federal agency for international humanitarian cooperation, and selection is made by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian diplomatic mission in your own country. Every level is open — bachelor's, master's and PhD — and every programme at every state university taking part: one university, MISIS in Moscow, alone offers around 500 quota places across 120 programmes.
